Biography
Tina Shah is a physician-scientist focused on redesigning health care so that clinicians can work at the top of their game. She is Senior Advisor to the Surgeon General and Principal of TNT Health Enterprises LLC. In these roles, she advises health care companies and federal partners on clinician well-being, digital transformation, and health policy.
In 2016-17, Dr. Shah served as a White House Fellow and National Director of Clinician Well-being at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. More recently, she oversaw virtual health and COVID-19 response at Wellstar Health System in GA, helping the organization to deliver 50,000 virtual visits within six weeks and rapidly expand hospital capacity during the COVID-19 surges.
Dr. Shah is a founding member of the National Academy of Medicine’s Clinician Wellbeing Collaborative and a recipient of the 2018 American Medical Association Excellence in Medicine Award. She received her MD from Jefferson and her MPH from Harvard. She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care and continues to actively practice on the frontlines in the ICU. When not contemplating life’s largest questions, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
