Biography
Dr. Paul Campbell earned his doctorate in Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. Following his doctoral studies he served as Director of Management Services at John Snow, Inc. (JSI), a management-consulting firm with an international portfolio of projects. At JSI he also began a long-standing consultation and training connection with community health centers across the U.S., “safety net” facilities that provide primary care for low-income urban and rural residents. In 1989 he joined the faculty at the Boston University School of Public Health where he taught in the Department of Health Services.
Dr. Campbell returned to the Harvard School of Public Health in 1992, where he currently has faculty appointments in two departments, Health Policy and Management and Global Health and Population. He serves as the Deputy Director for Training in the HSPH International Health Systems Program and has been working in many countries and regions, including Poland, India, China, Zimbabwe, Morocco and the Eastern Caribbean. He has also been a Co-Investigator in the HSPH Center for Public Health Preparedness.
