Biography
Meaghan Boyd is a partner in the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird. She defends companies in complex environmental and toxic tort litigation in federal and state courts, and advises clients on compliance and enforcement matters involving many federal environmental statutes, including CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, and RCRA, and their state counterparts, as well as hazardous materials transportation regulations.
Meaghan has been recognized by a number of publications as a leading environmental litigator, including Law360, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Best Lawyers in America, The Daily Report, and Georgia Super Lawyers. Meaghan was also honored as Alston & Bird’s “Mentor of the Year” for 2014 and named to the University of Georgia Alumni Association’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2015.
Meaghan is an active member of the American Bar Association. She currently serves as a Division Director within the Section of Litigation, leading the efforts of three committees within the Section. She previously chaired the Section’s Environmental Litigation Committee, Regional CLE Committee, and Expert Witness Committee.
Meaghan received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2001 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
