Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions

Biography

Maggie Robbins, MPH is the National Director, Occupational Safety and Health of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions since 2011. She leads and co-ordinates the work of national and regional union leaders within Kaiser Permanente on workplace safety issues. She also assures union members’ voice is present in shaping and assessing national programs and committees related to workplace safety and health.

She has 25 years of experience in occupational safety and health, primarily for or with unions, including the Service Employees International Union, and the California Labor Federation. She has worked as a writer, educator and curriculum developer with unions in the US and with the Industrial Health Resource Group at University of Cape Town, South Africa. She has worked as a research project coordinator for the University of California at San Francisco, Ergonomics Program. She has experience as a union member, officer and board member.
