Biography
Dr. Testa, MPH, MPhil, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer on Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics (Department of Biostatistics | Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health) and Co-Director of Emergency Preparedness, Research, Education and Practice (EPREP) Program (The EPREP Program – Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health), Division of Policy Translation and Leadership Development, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received her MPH, MPhil, and PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health with concentrations in biostatistics, statistics, and epidemiology from Yale University. Dr. Testa was previously an Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine. She was also the Director of the Biostatistics Research Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Testa’s academic research interests include developing quantitative methodologies for measuring direct-from-patient health outcomes such as quality of life, treatment satisfaction, e-technology wearables, and biosensors for clinical trials. She also specializes in public health preparedness, emergency response, and community safety practice and evaluation. She teaches biostatistics, quantitative methods, public health practice, health outcomes research, and statistical methods in pharmaceutical regulatory science courses. She also serves as a consultant to the health services and pharmaceutical industries.
