Biography
Dara Feddersen graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.Sc. in Chemistry in May 2007. Shortly after, she joined Hollingsworth & Vose as a technician in the R&D department. After 1 year, she went back to school completing a Ph.D. program in Chemistry with a focus on atmospheric aerosols at the University of New Hampshire in December 2013. During her time at UNH, she published papers and presented her research on particulate and gas phase mercury at various conferences. Upon completion of the program, she returned to Hollingsworth & Vose as a Scientist. Dara is active in the following committees:
• ASHRAE (American Society for Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) TC 2.4 (Particulate Air Contaminants and Particulate Contaminant Removal Equipment) as Vice Chair;
• ASHRAE SSPC 52.2 (Method of Testing General Ventilation Air Cleaning Devices for Removal Efficiency by Particle Size) as a voting member;
• ISO (International Standardization Organization) TC-142 (Cleaning Equipment for Air and Other Gases) as past chair.
