People with disabilities are (slowly) gaining a voice in science

For too long, people with disabilities have been on the margins of science — but that’s starting to change. Kiana Jackson of the nonprofit New Disabled South calls for academia to include more people with disabilities in leadership roles — and to consider the intersectionality of disability, health, and disparities. Such inclusivity can boost scientific innovation and problem-solving.
