Harvard Student Human Rights Collaborative (HSHRC) Fall Case Conference

Location
Harvard Longwood Campus
Boston, MA 02115 United States

Time

5:00 pm 6:00 pm

Event Type

The Harvard Student Human Rights Collaborative (HSHRC) is a student-run organization that raises awareness about issues at the intersection of health and human rights. The collaborative also runs the Harvard Medical School Asylum Clinic to assist clinicians with the medical and psychological evaluation process for individuals in the Boston area seeking asylum.

Register here to join the HSHRC’s first event of the academic year on Monday, September 30, from 5:00-6:00pm in the JBM Lounge (Vanderbilt Hall). Drs. Rose Molina and Margaret (Maggie) Sullivan will be giving an in-person talk and case conference about immigration and its intersections with healthcare – with a special focus on asylum medicine. This will be a great opportunity to learn about how forensic medical evaluations are conducted and the roles that physicians and students play in the asylum-seeking process.

Light refreshments will be served.

If you are interested in shadowing evaluations or hearing about future events, please join the HSHRC’s email list.
