Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Explain the pros and cons of a near-miss survey;
  • discuss the situations responsible for near-misses in the Maine fishing industry;
  • explain three actions the Maine Commercial Fishing Safety Council have taken to enable fishermen to respond to potentially hazardous situations; and to
  • list three ERC Outreach activities that are available for HSPH students.
