  1. Describe the burden of preventable chronic disease including the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and characterize occupational risk factors for MetSyn in firefighters.
  2. Apply lifestyle medicine principles to the treatment of cardiometabolic risk factors and the role of pharmacotherapy.
  3. Cite evidence-based behavior change strategies that durably improve firefighter health and safety.
