Kan Chen Receives Institute of Mathematical Statistics New Researcher Travel Award to attend JSM

Kan Chen was recently selected to receive an Institute of Mathematical Statistics New Researcher Travel Award to attend the 2024 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Portland, Oregon. Kan is a current postdoctoral fellow in the Biostatistics Department under the supervision of Dr. Xihong Lin. His research interests include causal inference, observational studies, high-dimensional statistics, and optimization with applications in social science and epidemiology. Kan will be presenting a paper titled “A differential effect approach to partial identification of treatment effects”. Congratulations Kan
