2023 CELEHS/HMS Data Science Summer Program Featured
The 2023 CELEHS/HMS Data Science Summer Program, which completed its fifth year, was recently featured in an HSPH news story. While the program focuses on the introduction of programming and machine learning concepts to high school students, a consistently popular element of the program are the lunchtime talks that feature professionals, including Harvard alumni, discussing the real-life application of machine learning in various fields. The hope is that the camp will inspire students to pursue careers in STEM by providing them with new skills in machine learning and and showing them some of the possible paths that lie ahead with training in statistics, computer programming and data science.
