Wade Berner
Biography
Wade Berner is a registered Professional Engineer licensed in both the US and Canada with nearly three decades of experience in facility commissioning, optimization, and performance. He has directed commissioning programs across a wide range of facility types, including higher education institutions, biosafety level 4 laboratory facilities, and a rocket launch complex.
Wade’s career brings a broad perspective shaped by senior roles on the consulting, construction management and owner sides of the industry. This includes a 16-year tenure at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he built a strong understanding of how high-performance facilities are delivered, operated, and maintained over time.
Most recently, Wade rejoined the private sector with Suffolk Construction as Senior Director for Northeast Commissioning, responsible for building and leading the organization's commissioning program across the region.
