Michael Frank DeSocio

Biography

Mike is a recently retired divisional Chief Financial Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) focusing on physician services. Mike spent his career working exclusively in health care finance and compliance. Mike began his career working for a health care insurer as a hospital contract negotiator followed by 17 years in the health care consulting practice of Ernst &Young serving major medical centers throughout the northeast and subsequently held Vice President of Finance positions at multiple medical centers in New England prior to joining BILH.

Mike and his wife currently reside in southern Vermont on a working 110 acre farm focusing on agri-tourism including managing an event venue, growing fruit, vegetable, and flower crops, as well as, forestry management and maple syrup production. They have three children and two grandchildren with more on the way. Their oldest daughter is a family medicine physician, and his wife is the retired President of a multi-specialty physician foundation and the Executive Vice President of the physician foundation’s parent health system.
