VDI Required for Wasabi

It is now policy that all users accessing any of the Wasabi applications are REQUIRED to use VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure).

This change is in part due to network changes on campus, security concerns, and the limitations that VPN innately has. With the ongoing performance issues such as lagging, slow tunnel speeds, time outs, disconnections, and other error message VPN is not an ideal option to use for accessing Wasabi.

Additionally, this transition is driven by the recent VDI changes and upgrades which makes VDI a stable environment to run the Wasabi applications on.

Please see these VDI log in instructions for details on how to login to VDI. Once logged into your Staff VDI, launch Wasabi by clicking on the shortcut located on your desktop.

If you are having difficulties using VDI please email helpdesk@hsph.harvard.edu or click on the Report VDI Issues button on your VDI desktop.

If you are having issues using Wasabi within your Staff VDI desktop, please email wasabi@hsph.harvard.edu.
