Anne Occhipinti, MA

Biography

Anne Occhipinti is the Assistant Dean for Professional Education at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.  In addition to overseeing the administration of the Master of Public Health program at Harvard, Anne conducts many leadership and professional development trainings with a particular emphasis on self-awareness. She has coached for the Harvard Administrative Fellowship program and the Public Health Leadership concentration, and helped to launch the Peer Coaching Initiative at Harvard Chan. Anne teaches a course on Authentic Leadership at both the Harvard Extension School and the Harvard Chan School. Her experience in higher education has spanned a broad range of areas including: counseling, coaching, student affairs, program development, residence life, crisis management and international education. Prior to joining Harvard, Anne enjoyed the opportunity to manage the student affairs division at New York University in Florence, Italy. Anne has worked for several universities, language schools, a mental health agency and her own intercultural consulting company. This experience enables her to focus leadership training for a wide variety of settings whether working with physicians or undergrads.

Anne loves working with students on finding their way whether that be through coaching, informal conversations, or teaching. She holds a MA in counseling psychology from Boston College and a BA in psychology and music from Colgate University. In addition, Anne spent a year as a Resident Fellow through the Harvard University Office of Diversity and Inclusion.  Outside of her professional life, Anne is a big fan of yoga, the performing arts, spending time with her family and traveling.
