Biography

David MacIntosh is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Health, a position he has held since 2008. He teaches courses on human exposure assessment and human health risk assessment. David earned a doctorate from HSPH in 1995, MS in Environmental Science in 1991 from Indiana University, and BS in Quantitative Business Analysis from IU in 1985. He joined the faculty at the University of Georgia in 1996 and received tenure in 2001. He is board-certified in toxicology and industrial hygiene. In addition to his work at the Harvard Chan School, David is Chief Science Officer at Environmental Health & Engineering, Inc., an employee-owned consulting firm headquartered in Newton, MA. He specializes in risk management for chemical, microbial, and physical hazards, and decarbonization strategies for energy systems, transportation, and buildings.
