Biography

Camlin Tierney, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she serves as a senior statistician at the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) and as Associate Director for the Statistical and Data Analysis Center (SDAC) for the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) Network. Her work includes overseeing as the lead statistician the study design, implementation, monitoring and analyses of small Phase I through to large multisite Phase III studies that evaluate interventions for HIV and HIV-associated complications and co-morbidities in infants, children, and adolescents, and during pregnancy and postpartum. She is co-author on lead medical and HIV journal publications cited in United States and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for the treatment of HIV and of hepatitis B. Her research includes HIV cure/remission in very early treated children, and pregnancy outcome definitions. She serves on data safety monitoring boards, and trains and mentors early career biostatisticians.
