Biography
Dr. Lidia Moura, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAN, is the Mass General Hospital (MGH) Neurology Director of Population Health, Director of the MGH Neurovalue Laboratory, and Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. She earned a Master's Degree in Public Health, with a focus on Clinical Effectiveness, from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH), and a PhD in Population Health Sciences from HSPH and the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
Dr Moura’s research leverages innovative statistical and data science methods to confront health disparities and strengthen the resilience and sustainability of healthcare systems. She is distinguished in her commitment to addressing health inequities and enhancing healthcare through data analytics and pragmatic solutions. Beyond MGH, her roles have included serving as Chief Health Informatics Officer for the Epilepsy Foundation, co-Director of the Center for Healthcare Intelligence at Harvard Business School, and Chair of the Quality Informatics Subcommittee of the American Academy of Neurology. She also serves as a neurology representative in the American Medical Association’s Artificial Intelligence Collaborative. She also co-directs the Center for Healthcare Intelligence at Harvard Business School.
She is also dedicated to mentoring, particularly in encouraging minority youth to explore careers in health services research. Her contributions to healthcare delivery have earned her multiple awards, including the MGB Anne Klibanski Scholar Award, HMS Diversity Inclusion Community Partnership Award, Harvard Catalyst Fellowship Award, AAN Career Development Award, and MGH Supervisor of Excellence Award.
