The Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics works to improve methods for infectious disease modeling and statistical analysis, quantify disease and intervention impact, engage with policymakers to enhance decision-making, and train the next generation of scientists.

Course Materials

Preparations

All teams were asked to complete the following before the first session in March 2023: 

  • Finalize the project topic with the training team 
  • Download and install Berkeley Madonna on their laptops 
  • Confirm access to the online training platform 
  • Upload ten articles relevant to their projects 
  • Upload a 1–2-page literature summary of their chosen topic 

Materials

There were two sessions of in-person training. There are course materials including lectures, activities, Berkeley Madonna codes for the computer practical sessions, and additional learning resources for each session. Please contact Caroline Buckee
