Presented jointly with the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative
Marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Harvard Chan Studio is hosting a forward-looking conversation on what it means to lead in an era of cascading crises and persistent leadership vacuums. Building on the origins and evolution of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI) at Harvard University in the aftermath of 9/11, a panel of experts will explore how NPLI’s research and curriculum—anchored in the Meta-Leadership framework—equip leaders to navigate complexity, rebuild trust, and drive collective action. Drawing on decades of active field investigation, teaching, and engagement with crisis leaders, this event will spotlight how Meta-Leadership is being applied today, from public health to emergency management and beyond.
