Biography

Robin Herman is Assistant Dean for Communications at the Harvard School of Public Health. As Assistant Dean she is spokesperson for the School and directs the Office of Communications, responsible for disseminating faculty research news and serving as the main point of contact for journalists. She came to the School after a 25-year career in journalism, specializing in health, science and social issues. She was a staff writer at The New York Times and spent 10 years writing for the Washington Post’s award-winning weekly Health section. She is the author of Fusion: The Search for Endless Energy (Cambridge University Press, 1990), a history of science book. At HSPH she co-teaches ID284, The Media and Health Communication: Practical Skills.
