Edward K. Stevenson

Biography

Edward Stevenson was awarded his BS degree in biology with a minor in
chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany, and his MS
degree in industrial hygiene from the Harvard School of Public Health. He has held his current position of director of industrial hygiene
technical services for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company since 1990.

He has worked in various capacities for Liberty Mutual since 1976,
including loss prevention consultant, industrial hygienist, consultant
in acoustics, technical director of acoustics and radiation and
director- technical services. Mr. Stevenson has extensive experience in Industrial Hygiene Risk
Assessment and Risk Control, consulting to a broad range of industries
types and size. His professional practice includes development and
evaluation of proprietary vibration measurement tools for both Hand-Arm
and Whole-Body vibration exposures.

Mr. Stevenson has been certified in the Comprehensive Practice of
Industrial Hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene since
1984 and as a Certified Safety Professional since 1985. He is a member
of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Conference of
Governmental Industrial Hygienists, American Board of Industrial
Hygiene, American Society of Safety Engineers, National Fire Protection
Association, member of the Technical Committee on Piping Purity for
Medical Gases, NFPA 99- Health Care Facilities, member of the ANSI B-11
TR 5 Subcommittee on Machinery Sound Level Measurement Guidelines, past
member of the AIHA Technical Noise Committee, and past President of the
New England Chapter of the AIHA.
