Biography
Henrik von Kleist is a postdoctoral research fellow at CAUSALab in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research focuses on Active Feature Acquisition - AI systems that recommend which clinical tests to order to improve medical diagnosis or treatment. His work integrates causal inference, reinforcement learning, and semiparametric theory to enable reliable and efficient evaluation and optimization of such systems using observational clinical data. He completed his PhD at Helmholtz Munich and the Technical University of Munich.
