Biography
Mark Lemke has been the Emergency Planning Manager at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, located in central California, since 1998. Mark has a BS degree in Nuclear Technology and has taught at the Harvard School of Public Health Emergency Planning Course. Mark held a Senior Reactor Operator license for over 15 years and participated in the startup of both units at Diablo Canyon. Mark is a member of the NEI Emergency Planning and Event Communications Working Group, participates with NEI on various task forces, and provides input to the NRC on EP Industry issues. Mark helped pioneer the Emergency Preparedness program evaluation, currently in use throughout the industry and by INPO. He is also currently the Region IV Emergency Planning Group Chairman.
