Biography
Charla Weiss is currently working as a consultant within the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. From spending her childhood on the campus of a Native American boarding school, integrating a Michigan suburban high school as a teenager, and in the past twenty-five years living in seven states and three countries including Australia, China and Hong Kong, Charla has experienced domestic and global diversity throughout her life.
Prior to moving to Cincinnati two years ago, Charla lived for almost a decade in the San Francisco/Bay area where she served as the Executive Director for several organizations including a religious non-profit and an agency serving homeless children. As well as working as an executive director, Charla has been a college administrator, a diversity consultant, and a university professor.
Charla earned a Ph.D. in psychology/education from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, a Master’s degree in Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in sociology/music from Olivet College.
