What to know about informed consent
The consent form provides potential research participants with detailed and sufficient information to help them make an informed decision about participating in a study.
After potential participants find interest in our study they can contact us via phone, email, or our online recruitment page. Participants will then complete an initial phone screen and if eligible they will be asked to attend an in-person screening visit. Participants should discuss the study with family and friends to determine if it is right for them. We encourage them to write down questions they may have about the research study. The informed consent process is a line of open communication for the participant to make informed choices about if this research is right for them.
