Medical Professionalism
The project aims to provide guidance for physicians in China on professionalism and ethics considerations in their daily practice, as a commentator to facilitate the discussion of Chinese physicians around cases we developed that highlights key ethical issues in their work.
Currently, there are more than 3000 medical professionals who have participated in this program, on a platform that hosts more than 120,000 physicians, with more than 100,000 active users on a weekly basis.
Each case, with the feedbacks we collected, will be commented by one expert from China and one from the US. Materials generated from those discussions will be used to formulate teaching cases for medical professionalism education that will be distributed by Chinese Physician Association across medical schools in China.
This project is led by Professor William Hsiao.
