Biography
Nicole Noll is a social psychologist who studies how physical actions relate to mental processes. Nicole is a Lecturer in Psychology and in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, where she has taught for the past seven years. Her current courses are Psychology of Women and Psychology of the Gendered Body. She has also taught courses on nonverbal behavior, attitudes and persuasion, and conscious and unconscious processes.
In her research, Nicole examines the effects of posture, gestures, and other nonverbal behaviors on cognition; current projects are focused on the influence of gender-stereotypical movements.
Nicole holds a doctorate in Social Psychology from Temple University, where she concurrently completed a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies.
