Biography
Nancy Turnbull is Senior Associate Dean for Professional Education at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a senior lecturer in the Department of Health Policy and Management Department. Her research interests include health insurance, regulation, and health care access. Nancy was involved in the development and passage of the Massachusetts health reform law and currently serves on the board of the Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector, one of the agencies that has implemented major provisions of the reform law. Earlier in her career, Nancy worked for the Massachusetts Division of Insurance, where she was First Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner for Health Policy. She is on the board of a number of health policy organizations, including Commonwealth Care Alliance, a consumer-governed prepaid system that provides medical and social services to low-income people with complex needs, including frail elders and people with disabilities.
