Lisa Gabel, CIP

Biography

Lisa Gabel, QA/QI Specialist, is responsible for providing Quality Improvement Program (QIP) services to the Harvard Longwood Medical Area research community, serving Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. As a member of the QIP team, she provides a range of research support to investigators and research staff, as well as educational opportunities focused towards maintaining both investigator and IRB compliance with federal regulations, state and local laws, and institutional policies. Lisa joined OHRA after working at the Harvard Medical School as an IRB Coordinator conducting protocol reviews, and then developing and implementing the HMS Quality Assurance and Post-Approval Monitoring program. Prior to that, she worked at HMS as the Project Manager for several multi-site psychiatric and genetic linkage research protocols. Lisa received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Skidmore College and is a Certified IRB Professional (CIP).
