Biography
Jim Smoltz is the Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety of Construction at Intel Corporation. Jim has a Masters Degree in Industrial Safety from the University of Minnesota. He has been in EHS his entire 17 year career with Intel Corporation and has held many positions within the EHS community. Jim’s leadership in driving an injury free culture with senior management within Intel has left an effect on the construction workers throughout Intel construction projects around the world leading Intel Construction to world class safety.
As a leader in the community Jim led and drove the development and implementation of the Greater Portland Construction Partnership Tactical Alignment Committee in the Portland, Oregon area. The committee is an alliance with local unions, general contractors, trades and owners that was formed with the vision of building strong relations with the local unions, contractors and companies to help strengthen the Injury and Incident Free Culture for local workers.
Jim is a Certified Safety Professional and member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
