Biography
Dr. May was the Area Director of the Concord, New Hampshire OSHA Office from 1987 until his retirement in 2004. The Concord Area Office was responsible for the enforcement of the Occupational Safety and Health Act in New Hampshire and at federal establishments in Vermont. Prior to that assignment, he was the Industrial Hygiene Supervisor at the Concord Area Office.
David May published the experience of OSHA’s New Hampshire ergonomic emphasis program in 2002. He also served as OSHA’s representative on NIOSH’s NORA Team for Musculoskeletal Disorders 2002-2004.
Dr. May received his Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell in 2000 and his Masters of Science degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1975. He is certified in comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and is a registered professional engineer by the State of New Hampshire.
