This workshop invites participants to explore the connections between art-making and collective well-being. Through a hands-on activity and conversation\, participants are invited to reflect on what health and happiness mean to them through words and images. By creating art together\, the workshop aims to cultivate a shared space that fosters creativity\, belonging\, and community. \n\n\n\nCenter Student Engagement Committee member and Harvard Medical School student Dami Seung\, EdM\, MS ‘27 will lead this workshop. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to all Harvard ID-holders. SUMMARY:Early-Onset Cancers: From Epidemiologic Challenges to Precision Prevention
DESCRIPTION:Home / 404\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFinding a Match: Donor Diversity and the Path to a Cure\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTime \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Type \n\n\n\n	From Around the School\, Lectures/Seminars/Forums\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on Wednesday\, October 21st for the Department of Epidemiology seminar series featuring Dr. Yin Cao. \n\n\n\nAbstract: Cancers are increasingly being diagnosed among younger adults\, raising urgent questions about the causes and implications of these generational trends. This seminar will discuss key challenges in identifying the drivers and underlying biological mechanisms of early-onset cancers and explore how closer integration of epidemiologic and mechanistic studies can advance etiologic discovery. It will conclude with opportunities to translate emerging insights into earlier detection and prevention for younger generations.  \n\n\n\nBio: Yin Cao\, ScD\, MPH\, is a Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. She is a molecular epidemiologist whose research focuses on the life-course determinants and prevention of early-onset cancers. Her recent work explores how population and mechanistic sciences can be brought together to advance cancer cause discovery. She co-leads an interdisciplinary Cancer Grand Challenges team focused on early-onset colorectal cancer. She received her ScD in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.  \n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker Information\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n\n	\n \n Yin Cao\, ScD\, MPH \n Professor of Surgery and Medicine\, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis\n \n \n \n	\n\n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizers\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDepartment of Epidemiology\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n Unleash your potential at Harvard Chan School. \n In addition to our degree programs\, we offer highly targeted programs through our Advanced Learning Academy\, directed and taught by Harvard faculty. \n \n \n \n Degree Programs \n \n \n \n How to Apply \n \n \n \n Advanced Learning Academy

SUMMARY:Boston in Context \nUnderstanding the city and communities surrounding our school
DESCRIPTION:Home / 404\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFinding a Match: Donor Diversity and the Path to a Cure\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Type \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Type \n\n\n\n	From Around the School\, Lectures/Seminars/Forums\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBoston in Context is an interactive workshop designed to help students better understand Boston as a city of neighborhoods and the historical\, political\, social\, and public health contexts that shape its communities. \n\n\n\nCommunity engagement begins with learning about the place where we are situated—the histories and policies that have shaped it\, the strengths and knowledge within its communities\, and the institutions and power dynamics that influence community life. Through discussion and reflection\, we will explore how place and identity shape public health priorities and consider what it means to engage thoughtfully\, respectfully\, and accountably with the communities surrounding our school. \n\n\n\nJoin us to deepen your understanding of Boston and consider why knowing our local context is an essential starting point for community-engaged public health research and practice. \n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker Information\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n\n	\n \n Ra'Shaun Nalls \n Director of Community Engagement\n \n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizers\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOffice of Community and Belonging\n\n\n\nCommunity Engagement in Public Health Research and Practice Concentration\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n Unleash your potential at Harvard Chan School. \n In addition to our degree programs\, we offer highly targeted programs through our Advanced Learning Academy\, directed and taught by Harvard faculty. \n \n \n \n Degree Programs \n \n \n \n How to Apply \n \n \n \n Advanced Learning Academy
